Antineo is strategically located in the Lyon Est Bio-Health Campus, an innovation hub at the intersection of world-class medical institutions and research centers. Our campus is situated within a dynamic scientific ecosystem that includes Hospices Civils de Lyon, Edouard Herriot Hospital, Center Léon Bérard (CLB) and the Center for Cancer Research in Lyon (CRCL).

Since many years, this position has allowed us to form strong connections with these institutions, giving us unmatched access to clinical knowledge, patient samples, and cutting-edge equipment. These partnerships establish a remarkable setting for onco-pharmacology translational studies, guaranteeing that our preclinical investigations are tightly matched with clinical requirements and actual cancer challenges.

Animal facility and preclinical research capabilities

Our access to the animal facility at the University of medicine of Lyon (SCAR) allow us to conduct large-scale experiments and offer flexibility in study design and model selection. With a dedicated capacity to house over 3,000 mice, this facility is specifically designed to accommodate a wide range of animal models from immunocompetent to severely immunodepressed models, supporting high standards animal research.

  • Immunocompromised and immunocompetent mice:

We work daily with a variety of immunocompromised and immunocompetent mouse strains, allowing us to model human tumors, study cancer progression, and assess the effectiveness of novel therapies in both immune-deficient (SCID-CB17, NSG, NOG, NOD-SCID…), immune-competent (C57Bl/6, CD1…) and humanized models (BRGSF-HIS, huNOG-EXL).

  • Dedicated housing for preclinical studies:

The animal facility provides a strictly controlled environment for housing and monitoring of the animals throughout preclinical studies, ensuring the welfare of animals while maintaining the integrity and reproducibility of research results. Our access to such a high-quality facility enable us to offer a broad range of in vivo studies, including efficacy studies, maximal tolerated dose assessment, pharmacokinetic studies or toxicology evaluation.

  • Ethical compliance and expertise in animal experimentation :

We follow the highest standards of animal care and welfare and we are dedicated to doing research on animals in an ethical manner. Our staff members are fully licensed to experiment on animals, including for surgical procedures. This guarantees that every research is carried out in accordance with strict ethical standards and legal requirements (for additional information, visit the Animal-use-at-antineo page).
